Queen Elizabeth II (21 April 1926 - 8 September 2022) was the Queen of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms from 6 February 1952 until her death in 2022. She was the longest-reigning British monarch and the longest-serving female head of state in history.
Queen Elizabeth II reigned for 70 years and 215 days, the longest of any British monarch.
During World War II, she trained as a mechanic and driver in the Women's Auxiliary Territorial Service.
The Queen was known for her love of Corgis and owned more than 30 during her lifetime.
She celebrated two birthdays each year: her actual birthday on April 21 and her official birthday in June.
